RCDR is recognized as one of the leading diabetes research centers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Gulf region.  Department of research at RCDR makes unique and significant contributions to the community by investigating varies aspects, risk factors and outcomes of diabetes through specialized research.  
 
Research at RCDR encompasses a wide range of diverse interests and expertise and provides an intellectually enriching environment to find innovative solutions for critical healthcare challenges in the UAE.  In addition, collaboration with well-known national and intentional research institutes gives an opportunity to develop and enhance novel ways to conduct research.
 
RCDR is managed by a Swedish healthcare company, Global Health Partner (GHP), which is involved in regulating RCDR research processes via multiple advising and consulting services.  In addition, GHP supports research activities at RCDR by establishing and maintaining ongoing collaboration with internationally-renowned Swedish research institutes such as Skåne university.
 
RCDR researchers are renowned for their national and international experiences in the field of diabetes.  The research groups include Consultant Diabetologists, Clinical Researchers, Senior Nutritionist, Podiatrists, Ophthalmologists, Bariatric Surgeons, Pharmacists, Nurses, Medical Laboratory Technicians and Physiotherapists.
